History
Strauss entered Russia and the Commonwealth countries at the beginning of the ‘90’s, with its Elite instant coffee. This activity was cooking on a low fire through a local office in Moscow, until in 2003 our activity in the area went into high gear as we expanded our operations to more and more countries in Russia.
Corporate Overview
Our operations in the CIS countries are characterized by quick growth in the instant coffee sector, roasted and ground coffee, and out of home coffee services. Beyond our activity in Russia we operate in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan and are ranked as the third coffee player in the Commonwealth and second in the roasted and ground coffee sector.
Our main activity in the CIS countries is advanced through instant coffee. In the Ukraine we lead in both the roasted and ground coffee sector and services outside the home. Our leadership in the Ukrainian market has been translated to growth in the Russian market with the introduction of the successful professional coffee brand “Totti Caffe”.
