We live in a diverse world filled with endless species, opinions, races, flavors, colors, cultures and people supplying endless perspectives of the world. Every person represents a varied and unique voice, and in his or her way transforms this world into a richer and more beautiful place.
The principle of diversity and inclusion describes our ability as an organization to include the widest possible variety of people from different populations and cultures. With an out-of-the-box approach, openness and creation of as many opportunities as possible for people to move inwards into the organization, we strive to achieve complete cooperation of every person in our doings, out of respect and appreciation, while maintaining his or her right to discover equal opportunities to progress on their own. Variation and inclusion allows various groups and communities to get closer to the central flow of the company, to take advantage of its resources, contribute their part, take part in some of the decision making and share the responsibility and results.
Everyone reaps the benefits of variation and inclusion. Populations that suffered from discrimination benefit from new opportunities and economic growth. We as employers, benefit from having a more interesting work environment that is richer, more open and innovative. The community benefits from having people that are more open and tolerant. The consumer receives, at the end of the day, a richer variation of products and solutions that come from the creative thinking of a variety of people. Of course, it is not always easy. This path requires tolerance and patience but we believe it is the responsible way - the caring, daring and most exciting - for creating a winning team. That is why we believe without a doubt that it is the right way for us.
In a country like Israel, where variety is always on the agenda, variation and inclusion are a matter of survival, and an integral part of our responsibility as an influencing element in society and the community at large. Our policy of variation and inclusion is translated today through creating equal opportunity for all sectors of the population, with the primary emphasis being directed at promoting women. Women are the most discriminated “minority” in the entire world and we have chosen to integrate women equally in the company in this initial phase.
Since this process is taking place first and foremost within the Group, all employees take part in this endeavor. The spirit of things begins with the executive management, the Chairwoman of the company, Ms. Ofra Strauss, who plays an active role in an organization for business women in Israel called Jasmine, which works to promote women in business in all sectors. The Group’s general manager, Mr. Erez Vigodman, serves as the chairman of the committee managing the “On My Own” organization that develops employment plans for the jobless from weak populations. This spirit trickles down throughout the entire chain of management and has become an inseparable part of our culture, recruitment processes, training, promotion and daily procedures.
