Our coffee company, Strauss Coffee, is the fifth largest in the world in terms of green coffee and one of the fastest growing coffee companies in the world for the past six years. In these years Strauss Coffee has tripled the scope of its activity to 687 Million EUR by the end of 2010.
Our coffee has a leading position in Israeli and Brazil markets (through partnerships with the Lima brothers of Tres Coracoes), and also a strong market position in Poland, Romania, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine. Headquarters are located in Holland, with the purchasing center for green coffee - the most fundamental raw material for preparing coffee - being located in Switzerland, and our 14 production sites around the world employing some 5,900 people.
The company’s core activity is focused on roast and ground and instant coffee segments, and also complimentary products such as chocolate, cappuccino, espresso and more. Alongside activity in the retail market segment, we supply services and solutions for coffee consumption outside the home. Through restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, working places and coffee stores suited to the local culture and market, we enable a growing number of consumers around the world to enjoy the coffee experience.
In 2008, TPG Capital, the second largest private capital fund in the world, acquired a 25% stake in Strauss Coffee. Having this new partner on board is expected to accelerate the company’s growth and expansion in the coming years.
