Cooperation Between Strauss and TerraCycle
A Live Forum was held this week with Tom Szaki, CEO of Terra Cycle, on the Ynet website. During this occasion, Szaki referred to Israel as the greenest country in the Middle East.
Szaki told surfers, among other things, about TerraCycle’s successful cooperation with the salty snacks division at Strauss Group, under which consumers are urged to collect their used up snack packs of any sort or type, whether produced by Strauss or any other manufacturer, and send them back, collect, to Strauss Group. For every empty pack collected, the salty snacks division donates NIS 0.05 to an Non for Profit Organization or school of the consumer’s choice.
TerraCycle uses the collected waste to produce eco-friendly, affordable products, including building and plastic materials.
TerraCycle operates around the world through partnerships with PepsiCo, Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, Johnson &Johnson, Kraft Foods and others, in a bid to find solutions for hard-to-recycle packs waste. In recent years, TerraCycle has significantly expanded its activities outside the United States. After launching activities in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Brazil and the United Kingdom, it decided to launch its next division in the Middle East, in Israel.
Strauss Frito Lay is the first country in Israel to team up with TerraCycle Israel!
