In 2000, Max Brenner’s vision of creating a new chocolate culture worldwide came to life with his very first Chocolate Bar opening in Sydney Australia. Through a chance meeting with Tamir & Lilach Haikin, who fell in love with Max’s idea of chocolate culture, Max’s dreams became a reality and the Chocolate Bar concept was launched, with Tamir and Lilach acting as franchisers of the brand.
Since the first Chocolate Bar opening in 2000, the Australian public has embraced Max Brenner wholeheartedly & in the past year, more than 1.5 million customers visited the Australian Chocolate Bars. The Max Brenner Chocolate Bars enjoy an astounding loyalty rate, with many chocolate lovers visiting weekly, for their chocolate fix. Max Brenner is also a firm favourite with the tourists who make sure to fit a Max Brenner Chocolate Bar into their list of Aussie icon “must visit” destinations. Max Brenner Australia now has 24 Chocolate Bars in the country, most of them in Sydney and Melbourne. Nine bars were opened over the past two years. Max Brenner’s introduction of Chocolate Bar culture has sparked an emergence of similar concepts across Australia, aspiring to mimic Max Brenner’s holistic chocolate experience.
