Ofra Strauss Among Most Powerful Women of The Year in Israel and The World
This year once again Ofra Strauss of the Strauss Group ranked as one of the 50 most powerful women in the world by the prestigious Fortune magazine and fourth in the ranking carried out by Lady Globes.
In the ranking by Lady Globes much emphasis was placed this year on those that had led significant maneuvers, made unusual decisions and went beyond the expected. They developed something new, discovered, and contributed in an outstanding manner to the society we live in.
Part of the judges’ considerations that led to the choice: Ofra Strauss, in her typical serious manner and discipline that she is known for, continued to lead the corporate strategy to penetrate new global markets, and even succeeded in impressing the market when she brought a partner aboard her coffee company for the hefty price of one billion dollars”.
She remarked on her being chosen that it was challenging to manage so many changes at once while maintaining her market lead. In order to overcome obstacles along the way you need to stop to take a breath, and manage change maneuvers in a responsible manner. Her vision for the company is to, “take our Israeli essence to the world” – as part of her quest for human diversity. Her personal source of inspiration is Indra Nooyi, the CEO of PepsiCo, the personification of an average Indian woman who reached the highest business echelons of a leading global corporation.
