Strauss employees to receive financial benefits

Zion Balas, Strauss Israel CEO, has initiated a revolutionary benefit plan to be implemented in the company as part of a strategic move. According to the plan, minimum wage earners employed by the company will receive a permanent wage increase of NIS 300 each month; employees who have been with the company for at least one year and who are parents of children up to the age of 3 years will receive an additional NIS 500 each month for each child; and every employee will be entitled to an advanced study fund. In addition, the company will continue the process of lowering the prices of some of its products.

 

The plan, which the company has been working on for the past three years, is the product of fresh thinking following the social justice protest of 2011 and is part of Strauss’s responsibility to consumers and employees alike. The benefits will be funded from a reserve created following efficiency enhancing moves applied by the company in recent years and will not come at the expense of Strauss’s economic stability.
