Strauss Group announced today that Meir Shanie, Ronit Haimovitch and Prof. Yehoshua (Shuki) Shemer have completed their tenure on its board of directors.

Meir Shanie
Meir joined the board 25 years ago after having served as CEO of Elite at the end of the 1980s. Meir was a key partner in Strauss’ evolution from an Israeli company to an international group. He participated in the Strauss-Elite merger process, the penetration of new sectors and countries, the establishment of partnerships with international and local companies, acquisitions and material transactions, and a wide range of business and organizational moves.

Ronit Haimovitch
Ronit joined the board 19 years ago while serving as CEO of Strauss Investments and Director at Strauss Holdings. Ronit maintains extensive financial and business experience, with expertise in investments and capital markets. She accompanied the Group in the Strauss-Elite merger process, growth processes outside of Israel, key transactions, and the establishment of partnerships and organizational processes. Ronit has greatly contributed to the board’s work through her rich experience and deep familiarity with Strauss Group.

Professor Yehoshua (Shuki) Shemer
Shuki joined the board four years ago while serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assuta and Head of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Israel. Shuki contributed to the board’s work in areas related to his experience in public health and in business matters.

Strauss Group’s New Board of Directors includes nine directors – six women and three men – with relevant backgrounds and areas of expertise. The board oversees Strauss Group’s strategy and business activities. Board members include Ofra Strauss (chairperson), Dorit Salinger, Dalia Lev, Tzipi Ozer Armon, David Mosevics, Adi Strauss, Gil Midyan, Dalia Narkis, and Galia Maor.
