Tres Coracoes acquires Itamaraty’s coffee business in Brazil
The Company hereby announces that Tres Coracoes Alimentos S.A. (“Tres Coracoes”), a Joint Venture (50%) of Strauss Coffee B.V. and (50%) Sao Miguel Group is announcing the acquisition of the coffee business of the “Itamaraty”.
ITAMARATY is a private Company belonging to the J. Marino group that has diversified operations in the food industry. ITAMARATY Coffee business is operating in the South of Brazil, it engages, inter alia, in the production and distribution of coffee and coffee related products (filters and powders) under various brands (Itamaraty, Londrina, Charm, Ouriborn, Americano and Cafeare). Itamaraty coffee business is the fourth largest (in terms of volume market share) in the South of Brazil in the roast and ground coffee market.
The acquisition will be financed from Tres Coracoes’ own sources and is part of the Tres Coracoes’ strategy to increase its presence in the south region of Brazil.
